great to have this site. My name it Steve and love old cars. i really got the bug when my Dad took me to see Harrahs auto Collection in 64 in Reno. Fell inlove with all kinds of unusual cars. My sister live there. soooo, it was always a good way to get to see the cars. then Bill Harrah had to go and die and then they sold off most of the good cars.
I ve been interested in most anything mechanical since i was small.
got into this "fun" out of necessity way back when because i found out i could fix stuff as well as most of the professiuonals except for major things. And it didnt cost nearly as much.
I used to think keeping a car original wa the thing to do. then ifound out that it was too hard to find parts sometimes so i decided to change to keep it on the road. I was in to Model T Fords for a number of years. sold them off. Had a 68 big block Camaro for over 35 years. got a divorce and then had to sell it too. right now have a 57 Lincoln premiere project. been in the family since 1961 and learned to drive in it. now its up on jack stands waiting on a few parts. also have a 32 Ford project. Speedwayt rails and a rebuilt early 327.going to put a th400 behind it. also 68 mustang 8 inch. looking for any kind of body to put on it.now that i have retired a second time maybe i can find enough time to work on these. thanks guys for all the info this site has.
