Will a model a sedan body fit on a 34 ford frame?

Personally don't like them on a 32 frame, and would imagine 34 to be worse. 34 frame is too wide.

I have a pile of A frames and need a 34 frame. Want to swap?

I believe you have to pinch a 32 frame at the cowl area to get a Model A body to fit. I don't know how comparable the frame dimensions are between the 32 and 34.

  5. Short answer: No.

But a square peg will go into a round hole if you have a big enough hammer and smash it hard enough.
This sounds like a using something 'because you have it' idea.

  6. I once owned a '34 frame. It isn't even close to a Model A frame.

So no, don't fuckin do it. Go find a Model A frame and hang onto or sell the '34.

  7. Well you can't just plop an A body onto a 34 frame -

But in the right hands with the right skills an A on a 34 frame can be done and it looks exceptionally good. custom fab work to both the frame and floor of the car. The floor of the car is about as much work as it is to fit a 32 frame but different and nobody makes a kit to do this. The frame needs to be narrower so it's better to start with a frame that needs it center crossmember cut out anyway.

You don't see it much because it's just not as easy as falling off a log.
This question gets asked often here so do a search and you should find more threads and even pictures of it pulled off.

The 34 Ford has a nine inch longer wheelbase than the Model A, so you would end up with a longer look - like others have said, probably not the best idea - stick to an A frame.
