I'm not a artist, just someone that really enjoys the talent that shows up on this post week after week. The level of artistic ability is off the charts. Thanks to all of you for the most enjoyable part of the day for me every Friday!!

  8. I've posted pics of my artwork before without causing too much havoc. Recently finished this piece for a customer. It's not auto related but I know some of you groovy hepcats dig this tiki stuff. This one was 7ft tall. and about 350lbs. when we mounted it in the ground. It's what I do besides cars. 10. I always enjoy the FAS, and this week is no different! New folks, the usual suspects, all of you make the FAS a high point of my week! :)

Here's a late addition to the thread. I attended a car show today and did a couple sketches.

I couldn't scan this one for you, just have a cruddy photo taken in dappled shade because the owner of the car bought the sketch right out of the sketchbook, a first for me.

This is the other sketch I did today, a woody wagon with surfboards mounted on top.......in Utah.

curbspeed, bein' a Tiki fan, good carved wood is mighty fine to contemplate. And tall is something to be reckoned with for sure. I'd like to be a fly on the wall, in the twilight, as unprepared folks approach without knowing it's there. I'd bet bigger will be badder, looming presence it will be, to spook them dearly, at least once in their unsuspecting lives. Sure hope pecker-woods don't add criticisms and witticisms with their beaks, like they do here, to telephone poles. Keep on carvin'.

Thanks. I enjoy what I do. These creatures are in there, I just carve away all the unnecessary wood bits.
A couple more I sold to this customer as well. Enjoy my friends.
