    Lee Marvin was almost as badassed as Squirrel. Check out his accomplishments in life, a real live war hero buried at Arlington.

    That whole generation of actors did similar things and they rarely spoke about it, Richard Todd sticks in my mind, he played a Major in The Longest Day but he also appears as a character in the film. In WW2 he was a Lieutenant in the airborne forces that took Pegasus Bridge on D Day.

    Hansen, I was thinking that same thing!! Not to travel too much farther off topic, BUT I saw an interview with Lee Marvin and he said Capt. Kangaroo was his platoon Sgt. and was Vicious.
