I used plenty of these to drill and tap gas mains under pressure for service taps . Left plenty of worn out ones in the ditch and back filled them .
Barbed wire fence or tire chain tool, or something else? They need a home, wish I knew their designed use. Thanks. Bob
Could they be these, but from another maker? Various Hand Tool Makers [Page 4] (alloy-artifacts.org) Cheers, Harv
I'm going to list these as flag holders, think they would slide on to a badge bar on something sporty.
Setup day at the swap meet was good to me. A whole box of mostly '60s Hot Rod, Car Craft and many other magazines. A personal first - A copy of a "little pages". Also a NOS no name sidewinder style tach.
thought I bought the correct lens for my chrysler tail lites. Oops, to big. It's for a Desoto spider web lite. So I made new clips and started restoring the bezels.
Today's haul. I've been collecting valve covers to display a collection similar to what I saw in BobK's garage, these will be a great addition. Anyone know what the mystery twin carb setup is off of? I have no idea. The intake port is damaged, might just be a wall hanger, but it's neat. Has Carter 1 bbl's on it. EDIT Appears to be a Hudson Jet Twin H setup for the 202 engine, with a fairly large piece of cast iron knocked off of it. Neat, regardless.
Picked up this aluminum art easel for two bucks at my local Habitat for Humanity store and thought I could turn it into a guitar stand if I pad the bottom and make a neck rest .Put my Tele on it and it seems solid.
This unopened tube of GULF High Pressure Grease has been on my shelf since 1968 when I got it from the attic of a local GULF station. Never knew there was a Horse Head GULF Logo. I've enjoyed looking at it, but need '32 Ford frame rail funds. Is it worth crazy money, or have I been watching too much American Pickers? Thank you. Bob
Heck, let me know what you want, I think it’s neat. I have no idea because some Gulf guru might pay an arm and a leg. I see similar stuff at the stores I hit for , say, $20-30 I would estimate.
My memory is shot. I didn’t see these in a Holden tool catalogue… I saw them in my pliers (dykes) drawer. Look to be wire strippers. Cheers, Harv
g'day Harv, heres a closer pic of the jaws. Red arrow shows the small V in the jaw. Squiggly red line coud be where a 2nd spring went. My local glass shop says it might be for breaking fine glass for small picture framing. The V would be held on the scribed line in the thin glass and then snap .
