Technical 48 ford

just bought this ford 4 door and dont see the vin/serial # looked in the usual spots - frame rails ,door jambs, fire wall - where should it be stamped?

 

I’d guess on the top of the left frame rail
But according to these guys it varied….

Look at the top left frame rail over the front axle. My 46 numbers were located there.

 

Left frame rail at the front crossmember. Sometimes pretty hard to see. Clean the area well.

 

Yup towards the front cross member easy to miss

 

thanx for replies Ill look there again when its off the trailer and remove front clip

 

Same for the 48

 

My '47 was near the steering box on the frame.
