This little guy hopped in the truck while I was looking around the local 'junk' store. I don't know what the wife will think.
Hay guys guess what I got today? When I got home today there was a package at my door from Mark Moiarity. So you know it had to be COOL! He found me this cool Red Baron store display model at a toy show last Saturday. Mark’s not just cool but very nice too. Picture of it on center shelf. Thanks Mark
glad it got there in one piece, It is kinda terrifying shipping that kind of stuff... thrilled that you like it!!!
If I had one. I would probably put it on a shelf and "Set it and Forget it." I hope someone else gets this. Lol.
Found these at the Portland swap meet and I couldn't leave them behind. They're on their way to Smithberg Racing now.
I moved this Craftsman box off the top of a cabinet and placed it on the floor a few days ago. Tonight I noticed a bicycle badge in the right corner, cleaned it up a bit and it is a Henderson. It has been in that box for 38+ years, the one I was standing in front of two minutes before the furnace blew up, and crushed it. It's listed now to provide '32 Ford frame rail funds.
Bought this from my favorite junkyard today, had to pay for it by the pound. It's so incredibly rough, it'll take days of work just to make it be able to stand on its own for a yard art. But, how often do you find one in the wild anymore?
^^^^^^ Sweet, I picked one up yesterday that was almost as rough. By the smile on my face , you'd have thought I won the lottery. My wife wasn't quite as enthused.
I might have it wrong however I believe in the mid 50's my brother had a Henderson bike, we called it the "Truck bike " as it was a 28" & as I recall the frame from the sprocket to the goose neck was straight as opposed to a sweeping arch like most others of the day.
This came in the mail a few days ago. It's a nice time line of his career. And his 22jr roadsters , so cool!
^^^^^^ Got to judge both 22JR roadsters at Hershey years ago. Fantastic cars, and Tony reupholstered both of them, restorations were flawless. Bob
Working in the yard two days ago and I dug up half of this truck bumper over rider. Dug up the other half yesterday. Has a 1950-1955 Chevy/ GMC look to it.
It looks like the center tube is sleeved for width adjustability, I'd guess that's an aftermarket accessory thing. Neat.
Picked this up today, NOT Ford, really nice piece. Do we have a HAMB Locksmith? If that #53 key is the same as a Model T Key then the key will cost more than I paid for the panel.
A friend since childhood (whose late Father is one of the older folks that got me into the early hot rods and flatheads) recently acquired a pair of these retractable lights. He is like me and collects things he may never use just because they're old and look kinda kool. They look, at least to me, as if they are some sort of vintage/antique work lights but the red lens that folds away from the sealed beam type light makes me think fire truck or emergency vehicle of some sort? I have more photos of them but don't wanna take up Ryan's server space with something that may or may not be of interest to anyone here. If they aren't worthy of being on this "antiquated" section then I'll delete this...but if they slide in by the narrowest of margins any help identifying them would be greatly appreciated!
Thinking outside of the box....... The first thought that entered my alleged mind is that they might be off of one of those little gas-powered buggies that are used by railway maintenance crews for track inspection. That would explain the need to have a white and red light to designate which direction it was going (to alert oncoming train traffic). Or maybe not.....
