  2. Congratulations Steve, You have done what many said you couldn't do.

I have supported TRJ since the beginning and purchased a lifetime subscription when they were first offered, throughout this ordeal my support never wavered and today's announcement proves that my and many others support was not misplaced. HRP

  3. I live near their new location so I’ve been fortunate to get one before they are ready to be mailed out. :D 86 has been a good read so far. Great work to Steve and the gang!

  4. Far as I know the only way to get in touch with them for now until they are back at 100% is through email.

    [email protected]

It may take awhile for them to respond but keep trying.

  5. I emailed them to let them know I had moved to a new address since I am a lifetime subscriber. Hopefully, it shows up soon.

I subscribed right before the shutdown, got 84 but never 85. Crossing my fingers I get 86. Even if I had to subscribe again or pay cash per book, I'd do it. I just want this institution to survive. Its been a lifelong dream to build a car worth of gracing its pages. I saw 85 on ebay not long after it dropped but I didn't know if that was Steve selling, or some other party looking to cash in. I hope there is some way for them to raise enough capital to get back on their feet. I'd donate to a go fund me etc... Good Luck TRJ!

Given that your profile says you are 81, we wish you a long life but maybe it's someone else's lifetime. But if you receive issues up until you die, it won't matter if it was someone else's Lifetime.

  9. Another lifetime member here. I emailed them my new address over a year ago, but never got a response. Still, there's hope and I would be thrilled to receive a fresh TRJ copy.

  10. With #86 currently being mailed out and #87 about ready for the printer, sounds like they are close to operating at 100% again!

I met Steve Conan at the re-launch party at the roundup. It was a great event and I am so glad that the magazine will be up and running again. I have no idea of my subscription status, but I renewed and will gladly donate a double subscription to help keep the magazine afloat.
It’s a small price to pay for such a great publication and I appreciate the challenges he’s faced with running a small business.

I've picked up a few issues, but I'm lazy. Give me all of them in one box so I don't have to hunt. :D Plus I'd like some of the money to go into Steve's pocket to fund the future.

  17. Im still searching for some low number ones to complete my set. Im still missing #’s 2-11, 13-14, 18, and 25.

I have three whole sets of TRJ and would be willing to sell one, but the asking price would probably buy you a pretty decent Toyota Corolla.

Isn't that a contradiction of terms considering this is a traditional hot rod forum? hahahahahahaha

About $75............ He did say a pretty decent one...
I think Ryan might be under priced on the complete TRJ sets.

They're surely not HAMB cars, but Toyota does build pretty reliable daily drivers. I've got just under 200K on one of their hybrids. And, that's all I have to say about that.

The really cool Toyotas had a neat Hemi 4 cylinder, Al Eshenbaugh ran one at Bonneville for a couple years on Nitro. Very angry little banger!

I'm just glad to see he survived. I always loved the idea of the magazine. Heavy page stock, good color pics and awesome rides. To me, being in TRJ would say "You've made it".

TRJ is an historical resource for us too. Lots of real info and not rehashed Google search shit. I for 1 think its awesome that our chosen life is able to be archived like that.
