This Corvette replica was built in the style of a 1956 Chevrolet Corvette by my dad using a fiberglass body from Street Vettes of Section, Alabama, over a custom tube chassis fabricated by Industrial Chassis of Tempe, Arizona. The 6.2-liter LS3 E-Rod V8 crate engine has been fitted with an EZ Wiring harness as well as a stainless-steel dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers, while the Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission is linked to a Dana 36 rear end with a Trac-Lok differential and 3.54:1 gearing. The independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes were sourced from a 1987 C4 Corvette, and AFCO adjustable coilovers are installed at all four corners along with 17″ American Racing wheels. The car is finished in white with blue coves and stripes over red vinyl interior trim, and further equipment includes a Flaming River steering column, Classic Instruments gauges, and a Wilwood pedal assembly. This C1 replica is now offered with build records, a car cover, and a collection of spare parts as well as an Arizona title listing the car as a 1956 model year vehicle.

The molded fiberglass 1956 Corvette–style body was produced by Street Vettes of Section, Alabama, and has been finished in white with blue coves and over-the-top stripes in 2016. A wrap-around windshield, chrome bumperettes, and leather hood and decklid straps are further details. The car is not equipped with a top.

The 17″ American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT Tires tires measuring 225/50. The custom tube chassis was fabricated by Industrial Chassis of Tempe, Arizona, and features independent suspension components and four-wheel disc brakes sourced from a 1987 C4 Corvette and AFCO adjustable coilovers at all four corners.

The cabin features twin bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl, which extends to the custom center console as well as the upper dash and doors. A Wilwood pedal assembly has been added, and further details include a floor-mounted shifter, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and lap belts.

The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a Flaming River steering column and fronts Classic Instruments gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 1,600 miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.

The 6.2-liter LS3 E-Rod V8 was factory-rated at 430 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque. An EZ Wiring harness and a Griffin aluminum radiator are also fitted.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission and a Dana 36 rear end with a Trac-Lok differential and 3.54:1 gearing. The car is equipped with a stainless-steel fuel tank, and the stainless-steel dual exhaust system features 2.5″ tubing and Magnaflow mufflers.

I have full build photos and every single invoice for this build in a binder that is over 3 inches thick. All part numbers are accounted for.

  2. A few of you have asked for photos of the chassis the ElPalcko built at Industrial Chassis.

  3. A few have asked about trades. I am only interested in a very traditional 32-roadster or traditional 32-36, three-window coupe.
