But as cars did not last very long…. Only Fords pressed thru that era with enough vehicles even with circle track racing destroying thousands of them. Chevrolets seen to have more being saved now but MOPAR not so much and if a when they are found and done the value just isn’t there.

  12. I've noticed that too, but kept my mouth shut..... My wife doesn't need more reasons to call the men in white coats!!

  13. Sorry, but I have to disagree..... We see more F&%#s and Chevs because they sold so many more than Chrysler Corp did. The #1 and #2 best sellers of any given year in the '30s, '40s and early '60s were soooo far ahead of any Chrysler nametag that it's staggering. On a "percentage of survivors" scales, my bet is that all brands from that era are about equal.

My mother-in law and father-in law went on one of those caravans (not Airstream) to Mexico back in the 70's.
Someone in the caravan died in Mexico. They had to hide the body and "smuggle" him back to the U.S.A.

That was the good ol days before the title "Vintage Shots" wasn't bastardized to mean car shows.
The first page, posted by the originator of the thread, even included some so-called pinups, including 2 women in period correct one piece swimsuits at the beach. No cars in sight .
