That's my truck Franke. His wheel and tire combo is 6.00x16 fronts on 4.50x16 steelies and 7.00x16 rears on 5.00x16 steelies. The tires are B.F. Goodrich Silvertown bias-ply.

Larry, That picture of the TTA dated 1952, would it be possible to get a list of the people in that picture. Any help in this project would be appreciated. I know there are TTA members out there that could help fill in some names.
Thanks, Jr. Clark CrkInsp |

Give Jason a call at HRG (918-241-6333). He's putting a book together about the TTA guys. He could probably answer your question. Larry

Thanks Larry! Do you mind me asking how you dropped it? I did mono's up front and I'm deciding on a 2" or 3" drop axle, then flipped the rear, new springs, and blocked it up. Your's is an awesome truck. I wish the patina on mine wasn't from someone sanding it to bare metal to do shitty body work and leaving it unfinished. Thanks in advance. |

Nice boat your towing Larry. It's about time you get it winterized and put to bed for the winter though.
By the way, thanks for the pics.

Jr Clark asked about identification of the guys in the 1952 photo. I am pretty sure of only three of them (I was only 13, but my older brother was a TTA charter member, but is not in that photo).
Standing, second from left is Glenn Pray who was the Auto Mechanics teacher at Tulsa Central High, and the "Faculty Adviser" whose participation allowed the TTA to use the high school auditorium for meetings. He bought the Auburn, Cord company and produced somewhat modernized versions of both. Seated, second from right is Luther McAllister whose green A tub with race car nose is shown in this thread. The nose as it is today is also shown. Seated, fifth from right is Jim Perkins who had a channeled A roadster at the time and also a '40 Ford Opera coupe in which four of us made a road trip to Calif for an upholstery job. I'll keep staring at the photo, and perhaps some more names will come up out of the very distant past. Wish I had been at the "reunion!" |

Terry, I thought it would be a good idea to preserve that info for the future.
If anybody else can contribute, please do so. Thanks |
