I picked up a 29 Essex coupe body (well most of one!) and I would like to see if anyone has one that is all together. The measurements I would like to see is the distace across the door openings at the belt line. This would be at the rear of the door opening across the inside of the cab. Door opening to door opening. Then the same across the bottom of the body. And a length of the doors themselves. Most of the floor structure is gone on mine and it has Model A doors not Essex doors. Soo I will have to square up what is there before I can go forward with connecting the cowl to the rear half of the body, new floor, building doors and a new roof etc. Thanks in advance.

Just so happens I just sold a 28-9 Essex coupe body last sunday. Stopped by the customers house today. He hasit oh a chassis already..
Here's what I measured. Belt door jam inside to inside=30 1/2"" Bottom of opening is the same. Door total width from rear hinge to front of door is 31 3/4" door overlaps the cowl/windshield post exactly 1" |

Awesome! Thanks a bunch. Now I can make some doors!
Any chance to get the measurement across the body itself? Ie: drivers side at the belt line to passengers side at the belt line? then I can square the rear half of the body.
