so i bought this car from sam of the swindlers c.c. a few weeks ago...and just couldn't wait to chop it..i had laurie peterson "Canada customs and hot rods" do it for me as i havent a clue as to how,,hey at least im honest right!!!we took 4 inches outta the roof..!! here is laurie from Canada customs and hot rods cuttin the posts
so the last pic shows the front glass in it. did you cut the original stuff or is that new? it looks real good. i think sam is sick now.
Totaly. I know its easier said than done, but those pics make that chop look easy. Man I wanna try a chop myself, this thread just got me one step closer....
WOW! I love the chop! Damn should I do it now? You have inspired the mouse in my head to get back on the wheel and run!!!!!
Did you drive it home? I see the one day sticker on the front (half) window. Way to go, looks very nice. (granpa)
Nice going Poncho! I wanted to see the work in progress just as much as finding pics of the finished product. Which should I review first - again? RGV
Man, I don't know what to say... you somehow managed NOT cut too much outa that roof. It looks soooooo fucking killer! People often take too much out, even a little too much is WAY too much. The coupe looks as if it were born that way. Congratulations, I am officially impressed. I have a '52 coupe and chopping it never even crossed my mind... until tonight. More pics please? newstranger
how much is the suspension lowered? and how was it done? That car sits perfect, And as was said before the proportions on the top are right on.
Was it chopped 4" front rear and back or 4 at the front and more at the back? I have a 51 with the same top and I have been contemplating chopping it but I wanted it chopped more like your car is so that it flows with the body lines so I've been trying to figure out how much of a chop to do to it. That car is killer........
