Well, if you remember, I used the hot rod flatz for the first shoot...paint worked out fine, just was way off from their color chip...

So I talked to Alex Gambino. and between him, me and my paint guy...I got a color I dig...

So here it is...done...all thats left paint wise is some black with red flake for the small part of the dash...so it matches the roof.

    Maybe some black scallops?????

    Sorry...still no sun around here.....

    YEAH!

    Much better.

I didn't want to say it then, but the last color made your car look like a sad taxi.

The new color looks great. Perseverance paid off.

PS: no scallops for a while. chrome trim. think about it. live with the paint awhile before doing anything more.

Wow! much better. It looks a lot "warmer" than before. What size tires do you have on there? Trying to find a good size on my 53.

Its ppg paint...base only....some brew my paint guy mixed up..I spent about 4 hours there while he made me up about 6 different shades ..we did test panels there..and I took the one I liked best

I was worried that the ppg would be to shinney, but I has the "sheen" I was looking for

Color looks great, it's not so "dead" looking.
So the moral of the story is, use Kustom Flatz only as a primer.

bitchen! i think once you get the belt line trim on and the bumpers/grill/lights you will not need scallops to break it up or add too it. will look bitchen.

have some of the guys here photoshop scallops for you before you decide to do it. i actually printed up a photoshop scallop job of my car and took it to my friend and said do this.

he was like if you like this why did you take it off? I was like what? then it dawned on me he thought the photoshop pic was real...

    sorry for babbling. great car!

I've been following your thread. I hate to be redundant, but man it looks good! You must work pretty fast. What's that, like three coats in how many days?
