    Thanks for starting this Johnny.
Sort of car related. I was going to do a tech kind of post on this one
but got too involved in it and didn't do it. Now that I find it's Tech
    week, I should have.

I had never tried something like this and I was itching to try it out. I
have already started on another one, this time a drive-in theme.
Hope you all like it. The letters are 1/4 in. ply as well as the 66 disc.
    Approx 40 in. wide.

  3. I'm in.

Kids out of school, training a puppy, preasures of the day job, baseball, softball,... all fun but take time. Did take time to knock out a few sketches, tho.

First couple are the same roadster drawn in different styles; the first is semi-realistic, the second more cartoony but in it's unnatural environment,
    mussin' with the eco-system...

Those are smaller diameter Auburn/Cord/Duesenberg style pipes running to lake pipes along the rails...

LOWCAB, must be the week for signs. That looks great, nice work on the ageing.

A friend had this old oil co "tombstone" sign and wanted it painted for his shop. I never claimed to be a sign painter but I thought it came out OK.

We played with the wording just to see if anyone was paying attention. lol

Dropped it off today, He wasn't there, Hope he likes it.

I had to get this done today....local car show coming up.....kinda straight up.
I got so gelled on Rod Powell's Art last week.....there was a wee bit of an influence....and a tad bit of Littleman....the Mad Man.

Call home Littleman....the kids are worried sick.

I was invited to carve tikis at the Tiki Eyeball Show in Peru, Illinois last weekend. When I finished carving, the traditional way to darken the recessed areas is to burn them, so I found a Voodoo King with a bitchin 59 Caddy with huge flamethrowers. I asked him to "help me finish the job". He lit the cans and the rest is history.

The last one is how it sits without a final coat of stain and clear. This is a shot of the the carving before cooking it.
