Just picked up this T coupe body Sat. from a freind. Pretty stoked to have a coupe to work on!
Here it is after getting it back from the blaster today. It's pretty rough, but it'll be fun trying to get it lookin' good again.:D

Going to be an early '60's hotrod....a little flake, some candy, chrome and pinstriping....loud and obnoxious!!!!! Pretty much a Weesner painting come to life.:)

Plans call for @ 3" channel over a homebuilt 2x3 frame, Z'd in back, Model A front crossmember, @ 8" chop. I'll be using the SBC out of my truck, just repainting the engine a candy blue color. (still lookin' for a Roto-faze for it.;))
Some sort of 4-speed.....maybe a Muncie.

I have a few parts that I've been savin' for this kinda build. Just small stuff..... Once my PU sells, I'll be hittin' this coupe pretty hard.

Wow Josh, I can tell by the goodies you have been saving for the coupe, that this will be a bad ass car. Your taste is perfect from what I have seen so far! Good luck, have fun and keep us up-dated with the build!

  14. '32 front rails, from the firewall forward, would look good, especially for a 60s style look. That's what I am planning for a future channeled T project. I found some that had been cut off, probably by a street rodder for an IFS swap, for $75 here on the H.A.M.B. classifieds.

    No mercy.....;)

Richard.....yeah, I'll be doing something similar. The 2x3 rails will sweep up @ 3-4" and be spliced into the front 2' or so of a Model A frame, to keep the horns and crossmember. I think it looks a bit cleaner than just a Z....plus I have the A frame to lop off the front of.

Glad to see you were able to find a coupe to build. Hope the truck sale goes quick so you can tear into that thing.

Sounds awesome. I can't wait to see what you do with this one. I've been kind of half looking for a '27 T. I love to see them, and I think you're heading in the right direction with this car.

    Keep us posted.

Also, I like the 'sweep' in the frame that you are talking about doing...
I'd like to do something similar on my future 'A' project.
