Anyone who knows me is aware that the F-100 has been getting the majority of the attention, to get it back on the road...well, after the week I had the Barn Bird, AKA "Audrey" was used to blow off a day's worth of steam using a machine buffer and compund, then polish... Got all the trim pulled off, hit it with compound/polish, and put back together in between rain storms...hard to tell in the pictures before and after, but the paint was oxidized, stained, and otherwise neglected... Well worth the effort IMHO: Still need to re-install the conti-kit hardware (and obviously rechrome the bumper) and still reinstall the "Thunderbird" scripts: Here's the "BEFORE" pictures: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=286560 Thanks for looking! Thanks Guys... It's really a kick in the ass to drive it, especially now that all 3 carbs are hooked up... The clock even works! And since it's now under a car cover, in the garage, she goes topless!
I love those old T-birds. Great looking car! Glad to see you are enjoying it, as they are meant to be Malcolm
I guess it's obvious to anyone who looks closely that I still need to get the T&C radio and antenna back on the car...
That is and always will be my favorite car ever. As long as I am dreaming I'll take one with an original supercharger. CHAZ
Todd, that is one gorgeous Mochine. My dad tells me stories about the one he could have bought. Instead he took a brand spankin new 68 Malibu Convertible. I love the Chevelle, but it ain't no T-Bird. You're a lucky dog.
Thanks, I thought the '56 poverty caps with trim rings would be a little different than most 'Birds running around...
