Sorry but that is simply an disaster. All customizers were not artists. This proves it.

WOW!!!! WOW... still shacking behind my computer.

YES that is the Jimmy Summers 1936 Ford Coupe... And YES that car needs to be saved. The owner needs to be convinced he needs to put that car inside or restore that car, or better (since he already let it sit outside way too long) to sell it to somebody who knows how to take care of it.
This is one of the very few Jimmy Summers built customs left over. Ofcoars there is his own 1940 Merc convertible But this one is nice.
Sure its a bit odd looking - to some -, but it is a very early built and builders where experimenting a lot in those days.

Custom car enthusiast need to get in contact with the owner...

    PLEASE!!!!!

15 years? Looks more like about 40 unless he stripped all the paint off before dropping it off. That is some pretty heavy rust. That metal has got to be getting thin.

The oddness in appearance, in my mind, is simply that the car sits too high in the front in those old photos which makes the 37-39Std. headlamps look like they're pointed skyward.
A little suspension magic and a fella could have a really nice, historical, and unique custom that does look good.
    Definitely needs saving and resurrection.

  27. Man, I hate to see a piece of history treated like that.

    What a shame.

Its enough to make you cry, way too important a car to see like that. This is history that will never be seen again unless its saved now.
    Doc,

  29. Wow, it would be nice to see that car back on the road. Keep us updated.

Is the owner/storer/you at least interested in getting it stored up off the ground and in a less damage prone area? Even if the current owner wants to just let it sit and rot, it would be nice if it was done with saving it in the future by someone else in mind. It's just to historical of a car to see it go to waste....
