Customs My shoebox chop

    I have begin to chopping my Ford 1950 Tudor Sedan.
    It will be hardtopped
    Her comes som pics of it

    Her have i cut it of the roof and put in winsheld fixtures

    I have cut the winsheld fram lose from the roof and begin to fit it

    I weld it in after som sand blastring of the fram top part

    Her is a design test of the side window holes

    I will do an new sides of the roof her's the first part for test if it will be a good design of the new roof
    I will update the thred wen i came longer of my chopping

    Hardtopping must be the cat's meow in Sweden these days... I want mine to look like Andreas' before he did the headlight treatment. Here's a rendition that rikster touched up.

    Looking forward to more of this build. Very different approach to chop than I've seen before.

    Andreas' car is one of my favorite shoeboxes. Jim yours is shaping up nicely also.

    I will made new roof side beams
    I have made 2 laser cut 2mm sheetmetal parts and 2 profiles
    The profiles have i streched and shrinkt to get the right shape

    I work little more on my chopping of my shoebox
    I have put up the new side profiles on both sides

    Her's from rear
    I have welded them and next thing to do is put up a profile in front of the trunk lid profie on the wheelhouses for the hidden hinges to the trunk lid

    It will be a new update next time a work with the chopping of my Ford

    I cut out the old roof now it's test time

    I have put up the old roof for test and see whats wrong her from the front

    After the door it fitts not verry well

    her's the big hole betvine the trunk and rear window
    and the profile under the window is in place

    A Edsel vilager 1959 ,a body of a oval VW and a VW type 3 fastback 1967 and don't know whats there is on the other side of the doors

    I have started to rust repare the shoebox 1/2 09 so it took little more than a 1/2 year to fix the rust

    I have take 89mm [3 1/2"] in the front and i don't know what it will be in the rear yet

    I have build little more on my shoebox.
    Today have i put in profiles for trunk lid hinges and strengen the side profiles

    I will put in gas springs to lift the lid

    Hey Stefan,

    I would drop the top of the backlight frame another 4'' +.

    The reason is I see a bit of a "peak 4-5'' above the frame where it intersects the top panel. This will help with the flow of the top at the rear.

    I really like the cant rails you've built, they will make the roof flow well with your chop!
