Please forgive the slightly off topic post, but this car appeared in my yard yesterday. Anybody know of good dependable vendors for restoration parts like upholstery, trim, repro parts?

    Thanks!

i recommend a full-blown nascar-style approach, then you don't need any repro parts!

That would be cool and if the car was mine I'd think about it! Especially since it's just a little old 289... but the car used to belong to my wife's dad and has been in the family forever, so no NASCAR stuff. :D

Thanks! Found they have a "side" company called Galaxie Parts. Perfect... How are they to do business with?

I love '67 fastbacks. In 1992, my dad had a '67 xl w/390. I was 12, could barely reach the gas and brake, and I got to drive the car...........no power brakes or power steering.

My dad had several T-Birds with 390s... always fun cars to drive!

I've bought lots of stuff from them for my Comet, and have always had great service. I'm pretty sure they are owned by Bob Drake.

+1 on Dearborn... they are better with Fairlanes, but still have lots of Galaxie goodies.

Their convertible tops and upholstery are nice too. I put a top and interior in my '68.

Dennis Carpenter has a Galaxie line and can supply almost any part you might need from rubber to sheetmetal, from the ground to the roof.
