Damaged Goods Customs is starting with a 1939 Chevy Master Deluxe 4 door on an S10 frame. I plan on turning this into a 3 window coupe.

I'll be watching this. Concept using the Buick parts looks good. Wondering why you're using the Ford doors instead of splicing two Chevy or Buick doors together for length? I would think that'd line up better but, I'm sure you have your reasons.

I wanted to convert the Chevy to a 2 door and I figured Chevy never had a 3 window in 1939 I'm cutting it up anyway so why not go for the gold. Do you have a pic of the one your pop built?

It's a lot easier to use a Ford door with a very similar shape than to cut and stretch two doors and hope they line up right then try to find or make custom window mechanisms and door lock&latch linkages. I think I'm doing enough custom work as it is plus I really like the larger door window frame the ford has as opposed to the thinner chevy and buick door window frames.

I agree: One caution is to watch that chop carefully. (front looks to be lower than rear, beware that 'Race-Chop' look.)

I would simply shorten it the length of the back door and cut out the front door to accomadate the rear fender!

Seeing as this one is right here in town I just may have to go and take a peek in person.

I'm kind of doing that but with the front fenders. The ford doors are installed backwards so they will open suicide style and I'm thinking of stretching the front fenders and cutting the front of the doors to accomadate the front fenders
