Looking for help on how a gas pedal mounts on a 1960 Catalina. I have a pedal and the lever comming off the firewall, but no floor bracket. Looks like the pedal is just supposed to push over a couple of studs on the floor and just push on the lever. Is that correct? Nothing holds the top of the pedal against the lever? A pic would be nice.

You are correct. There are 2 studs with a ball on the ends these screw into a plate welded to the underside of the floor the base of the pedal snaps on to them and the pedal just rests on the throttle arm on the inside of the firewall
