So I finally bought a hambworthy car, a Pontiac thats gonna be a mild custom as soon as I get it delivered. Should turn up in the end of this coming week i hope..

The car is running and stopping good with a straight 8 and auto, got a nice interior, new tyres, new frontfloor, new starter, new fuelpump, fixed carb and so on.

Planned changes are just to remove some chrome, french some lights, lower it and make some white scallops

Heres the only pic I got atm

    Awesome ride!!
My vote is to keep all the badass trim, but hey, it's your car!
    Enjoy!!

Nice Poncho. I saw this one for sale in Blocket some days ago and the price seems damn hard to beat so congrats to a good score ;)

    Thanks fellas!

Well actually, I cut 15k from that price too so it was a great deal! At least I think so til I see it in reality ;)

Don't remove the chrome. Personally, I think it's "Detroit Are". If you do, I'll buy it! The car is just too plain without it. I got mine this way, but if I ever repaint, I'd like to put side moldings back on.

  10. Keep the stainless trim, that's what makes our Pontiac's stand out!

I'd drop the rear end and make it a tail dragger and be done. Cool classic. Find some cool wheel covers or reverse chrome with spider caps, oh yeah.

Nice ride! Doesn't sound like it needs a whole lot to be a lot of fun.

Take off too much trim and you might as well call it a Chevy. If you keep nothing else, keep the center trim on the trunk and hood. Nice score! Subscribed.

  16. I agree with the guys saying keep the trim. I love the trim on the old Pontiacs.

    Lookin, cool!

Thanks for the comments guys! As I feel now the doorhandles, front bumperguards, backuplights and finemblems got to go. Needs lowered, frenched lights and maybe a white roof..

Heres a photochop of kinda what I want but more of a taildragger

Cool! I'm going along the same lines with my 51. Just deleting a few bits here and there but still very obviously a Pontiac.
Now all you need is the car at your place!

Got all the papers for the car today and have sent them in to get it registered in Sweden and have also spoke a bunch with the owner over phone, seems like a really honest and nice guy!

    Now I got some questions...

I may need a new waterpump, is it Pontiac inline 6 and 8 only or interchangeable with any other more common waterpump?

What carb is it on these engines? Inline 8 cyl. The owner claims that it runs like a dream as soon as it starts but its sometimes really hard to start even when warm.. Bright blue strong spark. Will have to check that out when the car arrives!

Is there any good partssource out there or is it Ebay and such that is the way to go? Want to replace oil, filters and ignitionstuff when I get the car

The owner thinks the paint is the original, does it look like it is an original color in the pic?

    Thanks a bunch!!

  25. The carb should be a two barrel Carter WCD-7205.

As for parts, I'm not really familiar with any good suppliers. I'm sure someone else can help with that. :p

Good luck, hope you get it soon and when you do put up some more pictures!

Well.... The shipping company screwed up so I havent got the car yet, thinking of hiring a cartransport somewhere to go down the 750 km myself to pick it up!

Got some new taillights and such for the car, which I couldnt pick up at the postoffice since my wallet got stolen this weekend and I need ID to get the package.

Hope my luck turns soon :)
