Your weather sounds similar to mine. Less than a week ago we had record high temps two days, then snow the next.

    Bad decisions make good stories.

Wow, your exhaust looks great, Larry! Now you have me rethinking what to do with mine! Dang it! The ceramic coatings I have seen locally are "cloudy" at best, and usually flat. I'm digging what you've got big time!

This just keeps getting better :)
More shiny parts, an update from Jose at Ogden Chrome, they have some of my parts done, others are in the tanks.
Beautiful, can't wait till I have them back.

The Ogden chrome guys are outdoing themselves, I better get my act in gear and get the frame blasted and get towards finishing it off so that I can assemble some of these parts in a reasonable time after I get them back. :)

The headlight bar with the V-8 attached is a work of art.

It does look nice . I made it as a backing for the Y Block fender emblem that will bolt to it through the holes, but it turned out almost too pretty to cover up..... :)

 It keeps getting better. My wishbones are done at Ogden Chrome :)
I'll soon have all my shiny chromed parts back. They did a nice job on them I can't wait to get my fingerprints on them :D ;)

Yes, there will be some polishing involved, that along with the cost is why I didn't go overboard with the chrome. Just enough for some tasteful accent.

Fingerprints ? What was I thinking ? :D I may not have any left after all the sanding especially once I start on the body.
I am using my Dura block set as much as possible to save the fingers though.
I'll do my best to make sure the only prints will be mine. ;)

  22. Now I was going to type a message about lovely soft smooth finger tips against a lovely woman's delicate skin, but maybe not as I should keep the thread auto related.:D:(

Sanding- my favorite thing to do! If you do it in sections it is easier to see progress and therefore less depressing haha. Hang in there!

Old bodyman tip, wrap a layer of masking tape around your fingertips when doing the heavy reduction. Don't laugh when I applied to the State Police the guy taking my fingerprints tried a couple times and you could tell he was getting frustrated with his attempts. finally he said "what do you do crack safes at night?" I laughed and said "nope I sand cars all day." He laughed and said "Good I thought I was doing something wrong."

Today I took the wheels and tires down for mounting.
I had considered using dyna beads for balancing but decided to try the other way first.

I asked if the balancing could be done with stick on weights on the inside only.

They used a Hunter road force balancer.

You hear all sorts of horror stories about how poor Wheel Vintiques wheels are or how bad Coker tires are but in my experience that isn't true.

The 5.00x16 front tires balanced out with no weights needed at all.

The 7.00x16 rears needed 3 ounces each.
