I took my car to Hot Rod Garage in Sand Springs, Okie-homa to get the pedals and steering put into my car 'cause they have an in-house machine shop. I knew what I wanted and even drew the design for the steering setup. But what these guys did just floored me... I gave them free reign to give me something really different and cool, and they went above and beyond the design to sculptured art. I have always been in awe of true crafstman that can take an idea and run with it. Thanks to Jim and Jason Smith and their fab guy Chuck. Schroeder steering box trunion I-beam mounts were CNC milled aluminium. :D :D :D

Did you guys catch the RPU in Rodder's Digest this issue?? It had a similar setup except the gas pedal pivoted on the shaft on the right. Awsome work, I had never seen a setup quite that cool then today I see yours!! wow, Guess I need to fire up the mill...

Hey by the way... do know what the ratio is for that Schroeder box? Mine is 8:1 and is 3/4 turn full left to full right. I am wondering if there is a way to change the gearing on the box.... does anyone know? Maybe I will call schroeder for that one. Looks amazing... I am totally jealous and now I have to do a couple changes to mine thanks. I love the pedals as well... are they all one-offs? Good job man... those guys are real artists for sure.

My first thought was that the box mount looks like an aircraft landing gear. Quick, spray some zink chromate primer on it so they won't make any billit comments!:D Looks great, thanks for the update and photos!

  10. Larry, Looks great man! Keep it up. You have to make it to B-ville next year.

There may be lots of machinists that could make the parts from blueprints...to me the design is the most impressive part of the whole deal. Just awesome!

    You're a goldchainer. :D But you're a goldchainer with DAMN FINE taste! :p

Holy crap, I'm still in love with that little coupe. I bet you can't wait to drive it, if you're anything like me you've been spending hours in it making engine and tire noise... lol.

What kinda gauges are you going to run and where you gonna put em?

Santa, er I mean Larry, great lookin' stuff you got there and the car ain't bad either. Just kidding 'bout yer stuff - put the knife down!!! Sweet looking steel cheese.

Hey, I wanna know something - Did they deduct anything for the material they DIDN'T use in all them holes? That's what, about $274.03 in scrap, right?

The clutch and brake pedals are stock from Pete/Jake that have been drilled and countersunk. The pedal pads are from Hot Rod Garage. They custom make them inhouse. They're only about $40 apiece. The gas pedal is a one-off piece they make and goes for around $360. The pedals and column, and column drop will be Nickel plated. The aluminum pieces will remain natural color.
