While I had the header panel down I modified it to accept sun visors.

New USA front drums delivered today. Old fronts were way out of spec.
Got these beauties from Gotham Auto Parts LLC in Bedford Hills NY. Called yesterday and got them today! Great service as always. Thanks James!

 

Over at cousin Ted’s today to cut shoes to fit drums. What a great machine. Ted’s expertise made the outcome perfect.

 

What is the story behind the two saw horses, quality built stuff like that isn't made today.

 

I don't throw anything out these were in a basement I cleaned out and being low come in handy some time.

 

Brakes finished and coupe back on all fours. I just keep moving forward.

 

Amazing how much better it looks with black wheels.

 

Those are 18” rear and 17” fronts. The yellow ones were 16”.

 

A green hood and deck lid wouldn't look bad for the '24 season.

 

Going to be primer, black and green for awhile. I will be welding up some holes soon. Cowl light holes and a couple of extra one in one side rail someone drilled to mount fender. Go figure! Eventually all black

 

Moved Coupe into the shop bay today. Have some welding to do on it. Let the roadster get some air and run time before going on lift.

 

Black, Black, on Black...and mmmmm...bias plys...Looking good Ct...

 

Plow mounts get welded to the 5Window and the Roadster gets set up to run the ski rope tow, sounds like a plan!

 

But there's no snow...

 

You guys need some sleep.

 

Got the hood hold downs finished after remounting the radiator. It was mounted too high with very thick rubber pads.
Also welded up the cowl light holes and a couple of extra holes someone drilled into the frame.

 

Fenderless with a full hood, looks like a Dry Lakes Racer.

 

Getting there

 

Car had a lean rear right. After investigating, I removed the rear spring and found another bad bushing, also someone tightened the left side u-bolt nuts so tight they seized to the u-bolt and I had to cut them off. The right side was hardly tight. Someone trying to straighten it out by this method. The top five leafs were longer on the left side. Also center bolt was not straight. I’m sure that probably shifted over time. I will cut the leafs and get it all sorted and see what happens.
