    49' bomb!

I have my 50 Chevy car. with old-style braking system. single master cylinder for all four wheels. does anybody have a good brake update system for a dual master cylinder? I have to keep the four-wheel brakes stock.

  2. If you want to help the brakes on your '50, ditch the "HUCK" brakes and go with the '51 and up "BENDIX" brakes.
A dual master cylinder with the inferior HUCK brakes will not help much.

I'am in the process of the same swap. be prepared for a lot
of frustration? this is what I did. 1st. of all, you need a bracket
to mount the dual M.C. they cost about $200. then you need
    a M.C. from 67-70 mustang drum/drum. this is the part i'am
still solving. I have no brakes! what I was told, that i'am losing
pressure do to back bleeding into M.C. so, i'am installing 2-
residual valves F./R. i'll try to post final result? good luck!

I second the Bendix brake swap, they work much better and look the same as the originals. I would look for a '54 parts car with a Powerglide and use the 3.55 rear end too.
