I like to answer posts (if the answer is long) by writing in microsoft word and copying. When I do that I get something like: You have included 108 images in your message. You are limited to using 20 images so please go back and correct the problem and then continue again. Images include use of smilies, the BB code tag and HTML <img> tags. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it? Charlie Stephens
It's a glitch that has been around for YEARS. Type in word THEN copy and paste to notebook, THEN copy and paste from notebook to the HAMB. Pain in the ass but will only take a couple of extra seconds. Of course you still have to keep images to 20 per post but if you are doing a long tech post or picture post you just keep replying to yourself.
Hey Charlie, I just read your post from 2010. We have come a long way since then, but Microsoft Word has been improved since then, too. If you get the latest version or even an older one from 2020, it has the ability to write in Word, copy and paste photos, resize photos to fit the paragraphs and have spaces between each paragraph. As far as between sentences like we all learned in high school and college, two spaces after each period makes reading stories pleasurable. But, it is the easiest way to write, copy and paste to get the whole story they way it should be written. Then a simple highlight what you want copied and copy paste to outlook or any email program. It even can be posted on the HAMB spaces for the thread posts. The HAMB is not set up to do the things as Word is able to do. So, some modifications before posting a reply tab is necessary. Jnaki As some like to just copy and post any size photo, it makes fuzzy photos due to enlargements. But, in Word, one is able to fit the photo in the paragraphs and resize them to fit. Once copied and posted on the HAMB preliminary page, you can see if it is too large and the quality of the photo is lost or not. The photo looks ok as far as clarity, but as posted on the HAMB thread, became too large and blurry. So, an adjustment in size, had to be made for clarity and a nice photo for details. “Bigger is not always better…” Note: Instead of subscribing to Microsoft 365, one can purchase the stand alone Microsoft Word program for daily use for a one time purchase. The latest version is from 2021. I still use a 2019 version, with the similar program abilities. If you have an old Word program you updated or spent some time editing it, this is what you will get when you try to save to your files. YRMV
