Looks like we're gonna be trashing to hopefully get this baby to the Roundup this year !! Been working hard on the steering and pedals the last few days , got the F100 box apart and removed the flange so I could get the new flange welded on

    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1453297919.265234.jpg

Then it was time to make a column drop for the steering to attach to the 40 dash
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1453297971.134127.jpg

And dressed up the speedway steering arm with some speed holes lol ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1453298026.387626.jpg

Now that the steering column was attached to the dash I could get the pedals lined out, whipped up a bracket to weld to the firewall. For the master cylinder and pedals to attach to

What process/materials did you use to weld the new flange to the steering box? We'll hopefully be doing the exact same thing soon.

Did you pre-heat the box or flange? If so, how hot? And did you keep it hot after welding or just let it air cool?

Slight preheat then weld root pass, followed by second pass, let cool slowly

Every time I see a model A coupe I wonder the same thing. I think if you were to cut the small side window from the left side, flip it over and place it to the right side so the smaller radius would be on the bottom and the larger radius on the top.
