For you Edsel lovers

  1. Their the original valve covers. They were chromed two years ago, along with the fan, water pump pulley and the bat wing air cleaner.

    Awesome, thanks for shedding the light Lee. I had wondered myself. If I dont make it through the storm in a few hours, the Edsel will be first come, first serve, haha.

    Shainerman, I just picked up the 58 we were talking about. I will start a thread later on when I can get a bunch of pictures loaded up. My wife will end up cruising it most of the time with the kids.

    Something pretty cool about those white vavle covers and a white aircleaner.

    I have a 58 Edsel 9 Passenger Villager wagon... its an Early Production August 12th 57, with the column mount shifter.... Ive gone through the engine and built a pretty healthy 390 for it, still got the stock cruiseomatic, and 320 gears in the rear...

    The color is Original except for the black inserts, it originally would have been Dove Grey, but i like the contrast of the black better.... the color is Sunset Coral.

    Thanks, i grew up workin in a yard that the owner has over 200 Edsels... so as i got older i had to have one.

    I am not sure what color that 58 is but that is bad ass! I have a buddy with a 57 merc that is a similar green...
     
  9. I love seeing the pics of all the Edsels. I know Shaine is gonna bag on me for letting ours sit outside and get filthy.........(I promise to get it going this year Shaine....)

    Here is the info on our 58 Villager wagon as copied from Edsel.com.

    The official first day of Edsel production was July 15, 1957.

  16. Saw your car at BTT50's last year...it's really bitchin! Also got the gf thinking about an Edsel for a possible ride too.

    I'm loving this Edsel thread! I'll see if I can post some pics of mine(my avitar). Its a 18k mile original that I Hot Rodded. Now if I can find a good 427 to go in it..................
