There were over 1 million Mustangs made from 64-66. Donating some parts to a hot rod won't prevent an enthusiast from getting their car restored/repaired.

Don't trust me though, haha... nothing is sacred. I have trimmed a 1936 roadster waterfall to fit my standard 35-36 dash (which is also modified), 32 wishbone into batwings, and a number of other parts that worked well for my needs.

It's neat putting some older steel into this project.

I love all your detailed pics. Keep up the tremendous work.

Love the Henry Ford sheet metal, irrespective of source. And the hard chop. Badass.

With how many coupe to fastback conversions there are going on, I assumed you got the roof section from one of those guys. There were way too many Mustangs made to get worked up over that. Long while back my brother got a beater 6 cyl coupe in trade for a gun scope and we proceeded to abuse that poor thing to death. Yeah, I've killed a few cars. It happens.

Got to ask what market value is on a gun scope, sounds like a great trade.

I've done 3 deuces with a Walden top insert trimmed to fit, covered with black Mercedes top material and bolted to the top wood. No trim around the edge, makes a clean top insert.

Just fine trimming the roof insert.

Thank you for all the work in sharing your work.
You made it seem easy, but...I know it’s not your first one.

  15. Oh My! This just got a lot more interesting! I just got a Nose Hit from memory, then my eyes started watering. By all means don't stop now.
