Looks like maybe a ChevyII/Mercruiser 153 in the car above? I like it! And I recently sold the 26/27 T body I had.:(

One for sale locally. Sure could use some of chip's patented cleanup, but looks like fun.

Agreed, I alluded to it not being the best example to show "Some Love For The T Bucket", but it isn't trying to be anything but a fun little runabout. Sure fits the 65 and earlier time frame more than a lot posted here, even by myself. I've been looking at a lot of Ts for sale lately, and there are some that REALLY miss the mark. I won't go into detail, but there are some I wouldn't be interested in at any price.

Totally agree with you the @RodStRace. Some really do miss the mark unfortunately, but some are built for comfort or according to local rules and regulations I guess. For whatever reason, they are still a great entry level for some to get involved in our hobby. I just cant believe that some down here in NZ are asking up to $60k for a finished bucket that would be fibreglass most the time. Keep them coming, love this thread, cheers

  15. I thought about buying this years ago, it's one that is more traditional for New Zealand as most are built here along the street rod theme and or are just confused. JW

You should have Jeremy, but was better with the W chev in it when first built imho. Gets around though

  17. The first pic was taken nine years ago and this is how it looked nearly four years back, i like both engines choices but the 348 looks too bright...easy fix. Just noticed it has cowl steer! JW

Cheap one in Cali, listed last night.
Likes, titled as a 23, 4 bar front (with tie rod ends?), simple, not stretched in front, opening door, enough room for personal touches - interior, cleaning up details, etc.
Dislikes, rectangular front cross member, tie rod ahead of axle, lack of chrome except engine, too wide 6 lug rear, steering angle, coilovers and air bags in rear (!?!), missing bed and radiator cover, funky brakes, diamond plate, the wiring and the short single leaned windshield. 12 hours away.

EDIT: I can't justify the truck and trailer out and back even at the great price.
Too many things I'd have to change.

Pretty sure this is the same car. It's just a little further along in the picture inside the garage. FB_IMG_1712504061331.jpg FB_IMG_1712504082352.jpg

^^^^ I used old Ford tie rods and tie rod ends for the four bars at both ends of the T bucket that I built in metal shop in high school in 1967. Everything but the body and the frame materials came from the local junk yards. Heim joints were not readily available or affordable for a kid on gas station wages back then and the ones in the surplus outlets were always weird sizes. So, we used the early Ford stuff.

Found another in PHX area. Might go look tomorrow.
BIL is listing and has 3 poor pictures, so waiting on hearing from owner and getting more info.
Decent proportions from what I can tell, nothing hideous hanging off. ;)
Lack of chrome, short angled windshield, no bed, and the usual question of fit.

EDIT: Has any of you heard of California Rod Company? Guy says they sell brackets and bodies. Nothing shows up in online searches. Story is his uncle has been building these for years and helped this guy put this one together.
