  11. Ah yes, the kind of stories from the early days.
When many lurked but were afraid to Join.

  12. that is funny.
if i can add a story.
i bought an old farm tractor with a loader, a great beast of an old thing, beat up paint, dented rear fenders, bald tires broken choke cable and an old battery. while trying to keep it going after jump starting, i left the hood off so i could back the choke off. not too much or it would stall, not enough and the exhaust would signal like its deciding a new pope. i needed to get a manure pile moved and getting it running and warmed up put me behind schedule so i took a run at the pile and buried the bucket into the pile, pushed the shifter into reverse and raised the bucket up high, clutch in-shifter into first-clutch out, tractor coughs then lurches forward and the over loaded bucket spills over onto the hood.......except the hood wasn't on........the shit literally hit the fan.........which in turn blew it back onto every part of me above the cowl.......

Thank you, Ryan, I needed that :D

Heard a similar story of a guy trying to fix an Airbus lav. They have a vacuum generator. The guy was trying to unclog the toilet with a tool we call "the salad shooter". Somehow it shot back at him at there was a clean spot behind where he was standing. The rest was covered in poooooo. Glad it wasn't me. Hahaha.

When I first joined there weren't even 6000 members yet, but I remember reading this in a thread where guys were talking about the "good old days" of the early HAMB.

Other topics of that thread were the "I thought this was hot rods not gramer" belly tanker and a photoshop of a lowrider with Diana Ross next to it as the response to a request for someone to add Supremes to a picture in photoshop.
