Event Coverage Jefferson

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by racer-x, Apr 20, 2024.

  1. Next week is another spring jefferson swap meet. I always look forward to this huge show. I have been going since 1983. Being a spring show they have had all kinds of weather good and bad. I go rain or shine. The amount of items I have pulled out of this show is off the charts.
My car is the featured car this year. It will be on the grounds doing nitro fire ups.
Let's not forget the big bars.

  12. No, I will be at the Ditch Witch dealer in Waukesha and headed to see some customers Monday and Tuesday. I already have plans to go see my son at college in Colorado when I leave here. Otherwise, I would work something out. :D

Enjoy your visit with your son , that out ranks a swap meet any day. I thought you might be at the Waukesha engine facility as a lot of oil field people from OK go there for training etc. isn’t everyone from OK in the oil business lol.

  14. Yea, time with my son is definitely more important than a swap meet.

And, some of us Okies are just ditch diggers. I am responsible for a ditch digger with a blown and injected big block Chevy though. So, all ditch digging isn’t bad. :D

Some Okies are not lucky enough to be in oil business or ditch digging.

Someone has to be the banker. I was a ditch digger years ago, definitely no BB Chevy, I didn’t even have the strong back they talked about.

It's worth mentioning if you haven't heard. The schedule is a little different this year.

Friday: Gates open at 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
(In the past, it's always been 10 am on Friday)
Also, the car show is now both Friday and Saturday.

Saturday: Gates open 6:00 am - 4 pm
    Car show Saturday as well.

    Sunday: CLOSED

Don't think i am going to make it if i do it will be a fast walk thru, just too much happening and i had someone with a big mouth that offered my help and they called me on it to help this weekend.

i should really been a vendor this year. i brought 6 pallets of car parts so far this year already just to get a few parts i wanted. mostly new off topic stuff but i couldn't pass up the price to get my items. oh well, maybe in fall i will be a vendor again, by then i should have a few more pallets brought.
