I look at 'kustom' things as how tuff it'll be to keep 'em clean while you're driving them...and IMHO, you're going to have mucho fun cleaning those headlight mods after the first rain storm you drive it in...but, I gotta admit they make your Merc look kool...

I hadn't thought about that, Thankfully I live where the bugs are not that bad. Lol! I have a history picking kool over function. I have a few other small improvements that will happen then hopefully 2018 it will be shinny...... Thanks for the compliment.

The last few months my traditional side and my Wichita style Kustoms have been butting heads. I sure miss seeing the wild styling with an Elden Titus built Kustom. I wonder if this style will ever comeback. It would be kool if it did.

  16. I contemplate some conduit flares similar to that on my OT '69 Mustang. I have an old article of Carl Green doing some on a Mustang and few years ago I told him I was thinking about it. He told me, "PLEASE don't." LOL

They were popular when I first started going to shows. Back than Big flares and running Star wires was too Kool.

^^ I want one! I would really like to build a Popular Mechanics style sports car like was popular at that time, although I think I'd make my own body. I just wonder what a good starting point chassis/drivetrain would be. I'd hate to cut up a fully running and intact 40's or 50's car to do it, but then again I really wouldn't want some late model drivetrain junk underneath either.

@Sancho I thought that I would have stumped ya on that one. I thought it could have been photo shopped. Sad thing is I have the Custom Car issue at home.
