Most of them look like early 50's DeSoto caps.
This bottom one with the louvers I've never seen.

    Definitely Lyon.

The one with the louvers might be home-made - at least I've never seen one like it.

i have a hubcap collection in my garage. while cleaning some of the caps , i noticed most of them had this stamp on them. sometimes in cursive. the weird thing is that the "lyon" stamp is on caps from all different makes. was lyon a big cap manufactuer ? did they have their own caps for the aftermarket?

  15. I have seen one Lyon aftermarket ad in a old car mag but i cant find it now...

Here's a few pics. I don't have any history other than what you already know. Fifties aftermarket, way cool.

I know this is not the classifieds-section but if anybody has some of the smooth Sombrero-style hubcaps with red center in 15" or maybe even 16" for sale,or know where to find some,I would be very thankful !

Lyon sold to GM & other car makers during the '50s - a friend has a set of never used genuine '54 Olds Fiestas in the yellow & black labeled GM box, caps stamped Lyon.

I didn't realize they made caps for GM. Always thought they only did aftermarket.

From what i have been told on the Lyon hub caps they were mostly available on the East coast. The Timbs Special has a set and trying to find a set of four that match and can be repaired is next to impossible. they were one of the extremely hard items to round up for the car, This car has 15" rims the 16 Lyon caps are a little easier to locate. and not to knock them down but they are pretty thin and a pain to metal finish. The search engine is down right now but i had was looking for some of theses caps a while ago and their was some good info off that thread.
