Looks like there may be light rain on Friday but clear on Saturday so I'll load up and tarp Rusty the night before and all should be good. Can't wait.
Hard to say. The one at the little league field in Devore (San Bernardino) used to be a good meet. But I understand it was mainly sign vendors at the one a couple of weeks ago. I was there last year and it was not all that great. I didn't buy anything.. The one tomorrow is getting bigger each year. Mainly guys with stuff they no longer need but some dealer types. My p/u is loaded with a little bit of everything and tarped at the moment. Still socked in weather wise but the forecast says clear tomorrow morning. Don't know if the weather will affect the turn out or not. Not sure if this answers your question or not. Regardless I'm going but I'm a lot closer than coming from south county.
I would say Redlands is an excellent small swap meet and you can't beat the price for buyers or sellers (buyers are free to get in) I had fun, I got there around 8:00 a.m. and I probably didn't leave until 11:00 just because me or my buddies were BS'ing with everybody. I hope the swap meet grows and I think I intend on selling at the next one and hope to help grow it.
Almost didn't make it. The NEW condenser I just installed in the converted Chevy distributor in my flathead died when I was turning into the lot. A friend was there selling NOS Standard brand ignition parts. Found a set that he gave me. Installed it and made it home. Other than that I had a good time. Didn't make a bundle but it was still worth it. Looking forward to the next one - probably in October.
Will do. The meet seems to be getting larger each time. Still reasonable cost for a space. And extra money collected goes towards the church's 4th of July car show. That show is as good as they come. IMO Yes there are some non friendly vehicles but it's on grass not hot asphalt. It's free to enter your car plus you get a quality T shirt AND a coupon for an In and Out meal at the on site In and Out trailer. What's not to like?
