Technical Signal stat 800 wiring

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by deucepickup32, Apr 26, 2024.

  1. The schematic for the signal switch has 4 separate wires for front and rear signal lights respectively. Is it possible to link the the right rear/front and left rear/front under the cover thus eliminating running 4 wires and only 2 ?

No as the brake lights will interfere with the turn signal. Unless you have separate bulbs for the signals and the brake lights.

    THIS!!!!!!!!!!^^^^^^^^^

You can only hook them together if you have separate brake and turn light bulbs. The less wires so they won't be seen is STREET ROD stuff and not hot rod stuff anyhow.

There are steering column turn signal wire covers available through vendors of if you are handy at fabbing you could eyeball and make your own that was held on by the switch clamp and a hidden clamp below the dash. This one is for a 356A Porsche but something similar could be made pretty easy. Screenshot (64).png

  4. Thanks. The front are in the Guide 682c’s but the rear is an 1157. Makes sense and appreciate the help. Besides painting them, does anyone know a part # for an amber #57 bulb. Finding equivalent in led but not what is going in there. Previous owner painted the bulbs yellow.
