    Think it was a Hemi? Yep that 35 Chevy Master and 34 Chrysler are both rare Ozzie bodies! The Chevy was owned by an old friend who sold it. The Chrysler is owned by a fellow down in Victoria and now undercover for a rainy day project?

    Here's a rare 1933 Chrysler Royal convertible Victoria I stumbled onto via the interweb and posted at 10963, can anyone identify it as I never bookmarked it? 60W_6.JPG 60W_5.JPG
    Just stumbled onto this OEM RHD version in Spain

    Went looking at the local junk yards (looking for a rear end for my shoebox) and spotted this Mainline. The owner of the junkyard said he overpaid for the car ($1,500) and asked me if I knew what it was worth which I don't. He also said that he would hate to crush it. I'm guessing he'll sell it for cheap to get it out of his lot. If anybody is interested let me know.
    For now, it's Sitting and Rotting![IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Never saw wheelwell trim like that Mainline has above, and I thought I knew a lot about '53 Fords. I assume thats an aftermarket accessory thing. That car looks really solid and that grille and bumper would be worth pretty good money by themselves. Getting $1500 back out of the car would be tough though unless it was parted out on eBay or something. Definitely would be a shame to crush it though. The hood hinges bring really good money if they're not broken, some Merc guy would love to have those fender lips and headlight bezels too, ect.

  23. Looks like a very solid '53, even if nobody wants a Mainline 4 door, it's a great parts car with that grille, bumpers, front sheet metal, etc. According to the serial number plate, she was built at the Memphis TN plant on 10/24/1952.

    I was recently informed of the passing of a local gentleman who spent his life time in the business locally. His widow is now resigned to the task of selling his indoor parts hoard and a few automobiles that where also housed in dry indoor conditions. I helped her out with one of those cars which is a thread for another day but for now a shot or two of the uncountable vehicles that outline the acreage where he lived and called home.

    As the title thread so implies, sitting and rotting... PacificNorthWest style.

    Have you ever wandered through an old cemetery, reading the names on the graves and wondered about what exciting adventures and forgotten ambitions where buried there beneath the stones?

    Perhaps they too deserve their own epitaph;

    [IMG] even I couldn't find anything usable on this 55, old junkyard I used to visit in eastern Ontario.
