My cars generally don't have cool, catchy names and this one is no exception, she is just your basic Cad powered '34 Ford coupe. The engine is a '62 390, with a TKX 5 speed and a quickie out back. Bias plys on steels, minimalist interior and almost no body or paint work. I'm tired of that shit.

Sharp eyes have seen this heap patiently waiting her turn in the corner of the shop while I worked on all sorts of other crap, but finally she gets her turn. This one will be a keeper and be in the daily rotation with my '40 coupe that I love so much.

    Well, here she is...

I have been piling parts in this thing since I drug her home December of '19. Looks like junk....

    cad34h2.jpg

But it is actually stuff. All kinds of knick knacks you would need to put a '34 Ford together.

    cad34h3.jpg

Here she is with all the crap removed.

    cad34h4.jpg

Here is the beginning of her frame, your basic repop Speedway rails set up on the FlamedAbone Dead Nutz 9000 series chassis table. (tm)

A universal tube K member kit. Yea, I know it is a bit street roddy, but I promised myself I would never do another stock X member frame. They are just too big a pain in the ass to run exhaust, brake and fuel lines. Plus, a buddy of mine from Tennessee hauled the kit all the way to South Carolina for me. (Thanks, Alan.) It is not done or even boxed yet but set up enough to start figuring out where stuff is going to go.

    cad34h6.jpg

Well, let's see if it fits.

    cad34h7.jpg

Yea! That sucker is on there.

    cad34h8.jpg

And this is the basic idea. Lots of work to be done, but this gets me to where I can figure out what it is going to take to fix this dicked over body and start squaring things up.

    See ya, -Abone.

Just showed this to my daughter, Alyn, who was my co-driver on that trip, and she liked seeing the parts we brought you being used. Aside from her getting sick on McDonalds coffee, we really enjoyed the trip and getting to meet you. Glad to see you're making progress. :)

Awesome! I'm excited to see this come together.

Are you sure you don't want black paint on there?

Some of the best and most entertaining build threads on the HAMB come out of "flamedabone's garage."
