  1. Looks like they needed to use a little grease to stuff all those guys into that car.

Steffens my 2 cents, my father was a prisoner of war (Ranger shot and taken prisoner in Italy) I will not buy a German or Japanese auto. But If you have pics of vintage cars , or places, I woulk like to see them. My standards are my standards

^^^^ Actually Andy Devine is the driver, that's Thomas Mitchell looking out the door. Louise Platt (playing Mrs. Mallory) looking out the back window. George Bancroft played the Marshall, riding shotgun. Somewhere inside is John Carradine, Clair Trevor (I think that's her at the front window) and Donald Meek.

I did notice that yesterday and was surprised looking at the latest model cars all around late 30's early 40's.
I wasn't really sure it was chopped but I think you are right.

I don't see any '55 cars. The oldest I see is the '47 Cadillac in the fast lane going away from the camera. "54 appears to be the newest, so I think '54 is probably the photo date. A lot of people bought new cars in '55 in L.A. and if they were out, there would be more than one in the photo.

Years ago USAC used to run a twilight midget race at Terre Haute, Indiana during the county fair.

A bunch of the drivers who showed up early and were cruising the midway ended up at the dodge car ride and were quickly asked to leave due to over-aggressive driving tactics.

    You gotta love racers.
