Technical What cars had 15" x 5.5 4 3/4 Bolt pattern Wheels ?

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by fordstandard, Mar 29, 2017.

  1. What year (1950's - 1980's) GM cars had this size wheel ?

I need to know to tell salvage yard what cars to look for to get me those wheels

49-54 Chevy cars would fit the bill.

IF you could get by with a 6" wide wheel it would open the candidates up quite a bit I'd imagine, just sayin'.

I never checked the width or backspacing, just stock steel station wagon rims to put on the back of my 59 Elcamino. The internet says they are 15 x 7.
