It would have to be Doane Spencers roadster.....

    and,
    The Chrisman coupe,
    The Orange Crate,
    SWC Willys,
    SoCal Coupe,
    and....and.....and.....and.....about a thousand more...............

This will be another one of my "come back to threads" when I need some therapy. Thanks...
    Too many favorites:
My uncles '63 409 Impala ( no pics) why, 'cause as a kid I stood in the back on the driveshaft hump holdin' on to the seat tops and he would rip through the gears. What a great feeling...I'll never forget it..

I'll be back with a few pics of other later maybe. RoyalShifters T, Confederaterat's drag truck, LanceSorcik's Jersey Suede,Uncertain T, Roy Creel's Bonneville '34 5 window, SuperBell coupe, Jake's yellow coupe, early altered wheelbase funny cars. Jim Hall's early Chaparrals,my coupe.

Can't forget Ken Gross's awesome Duece or Neal East's hammered 5 window or his infamous full-fendered Duece......

Another that comes to mind would be the Silver Sapphire. Is it just me?

    ONE favorite, eh???

For me, I'd go with Buttera's red 32...in it's original configuration. There are countless other worthy candidates, several of them also being Buttera cars, but this one would be my favorite hot rod.

I second the motion on the Orange Crate. I think I built a plastic model of that car way back when.

HOLY HELL THIS THING IS BAD ASS!!!

  15. i actually met the crew chief of that vulcans car last year after i welded up some stainless exhaust system for his rolls royce in long beach, ca. Hes an awesome guy and had that car set up to run in different classes so when chrisman showed up at lions he would change to the other class. haha. That aircraft carb setup he actually got back like 30 years after he ran it and ed iskendarian had it up in his attic. cool guy, cool car.

My friend, restored this car several years ago. It is truly magnificent. BMW was trying to buy it from him for mucho dinero, he was holding out for more, after all, it did win the 1948 Mille Migila

There are so many to choose from... but given one,
I would have to go with Nacho Gonzalez's bobber.
It's a hot rod but much more. It's a ground breaking
take on hot rods as art. I guess I like the minemalism
of it. Not even paint, yet beautiful.

I have three #1 is Barris's Twister T, love the paint and the little hemi, the whole package just makes me happy.

Number two is tied with Roth's Mysterion and Surfite(It's bad ass I don't care what you say!!).

And three, I'm not sure if it's a "Hot Rod" in your books, but it is in mine, Redd Foxx's L'il Red Wrecker, built by Barris. I love the whole damn thing, and the blown 392 helps a bit too.

I really can't think of anything that personifies hot rodding, class, and coolness any better than the Hummer that Rich Christensen drives on Pinks.
