We are always looking for reasons to get people out of the hot parking lot shows and get them back to driving their Hot Rods and Customs. We were approached by a gentleman in our club that would like to host another Hot Rod Hundred in the Wisconsin area. Just checking the pulse. Any interest up there for this?

I am just north of Madison between Portage and Wisconsin Dells. Depending on where it would start and stop it sounds fun . I prefer to cruise my cars as appose to sitting at a local 100 car shindig. What kind of Cut off date or style restriction would you have? Not a fan of late model Power Tour type events but the " you can only have primered Model As with red wheels" turn me off too! As long as they are not Rat rod clown cars or so called barn finds, I enjoy all kinds of cars , restored or modified. Larry

We typically have a pre-65 cutoff. We would like to keep it traditionally styled cars, but if the traditional guys stay home, we still have to pay the bills. we are pretty lax. we don't want clown cars or shock rods. Just hot rods. So far, we haven't had any problems.

That is one nice video. It looks like a lot of fun to do a 100. I wonder if they do those in California or not. What would be considered as a clown car?

I can only imagine that you guys have some awesome scenery up there. I may have to come up and attend this one myself.

  13. Im in. Great scenery along the mississippi river. Lots of winding roads Harley museum is cool also but not much in the way of cool scenery. Just alot of chalk in the shape of a body drawn on the ground.

  14. Aw man, you need to get out of the hood more. We have scenery that doesn't cause lead poisoning.

Interested. What part of Wisconsin? I'm in DeKalb, so southern Wisconsin would be an easy reach, but Door County would be a bit harder to commit to.

  18. Hi Root.... I'd like to hold one in Wisconsin... I live right outside of Milwaukee only 40 miles or so from Madison.

Problem is I don't have enough parts to finish the roadster! All I need is the body from the cowl back! Now if I can find a "rent a rod" I'd lead the pack on a fantastic day tour!

Maybe You can catch a ride with Neil Waddell. He will more than likely be our man on the ground.

  21. Totally, but I'm in @wingnutz camp just projects right now. It would be cool if you guys did something in southeastern Wisconsin.

I'd be interested. Might be more then a 100 miles before I even got to the event (Madison is about a 100 miles from home)! My wife and I have done several 100 + mile trips through WI.
When and where it starts and ends, and how much it will cost, would be important information.

Better change those wheels before you head north or they'll send you packing back to SWMO again. o_O

This thread is mainly for planning purposes. We haven't even decided what time of year or where in the state.

The cost I can tell you. we usually charge $25 for entry. You get a Tshirt, an event sticker and lunch.
