Technical What the heck is this? (TH350 ???)

Took the pan off a TH350 and found this lying there, what is it? I don't recognize it as any internal trans. part (granted I've been inside a total of maybe like 3 TH350's).
Is it part of the old trans dipstick tube? We did stuff a new one while degreasing it as there wasn't any in there....

 

looks like part of an old trans dipstick tube. Remove it, don't worry about it.
