Here is a group of homemade trophies that the Tech Dept. at ISU made for the Chrome in the Dome car show at Pocatello Idaho in the spring of 2008. Work on these was amazing and some even were mechanical.

I won this at "Hell on Wheels", a Road Devils event at National Trail Raceway. The pinstriping and detail are just amazing in person. Plus it lights up!

these are great!! I would rather have just one homemade trophy then a dozen store bought ones. maby when I get my car out of the garage in spring and go to some of these local shows. it wouldn't get put on some shelf,I would much rather have something that someone made themselves.

I made these up outta parts from the scrap bin, to me it's all about the V8 so that's about how they turned out...

Valves are from a V16 Cat industrial/stationary motor

Bearing cages are from an industrial turbine (Huge blower)

What looks like serpentine belt pulleys are actually Oil seals for the big blowers.

they stand between 22 and 26" high and the heaviest one weighs in right around 50 lbs.

I dropped the one with the ball bearings on my kitchen floor and now have a nice 1/2 deep smiley looking up at me. :D
But at least I still have all my toes;)

    Cool trophies, nicely finished.

    That is a great trophy!

Although it's not quite an "antitrophy", one of my prized possessions is the cool restored antique cycle trophy that Darrel (Von Wierdo) Miller awarded me for my H-D Bobber at the first Greezefest.

Here's an old award that I won several years ago. One of the nicer ones that I've seen (IMHO).
